Senior Broker Property & Casulty Division

Michael Peters is a Senior E&S Broker at PLRisk, specializing in growing the company’s Wholesale Property and Casualty Division. Known for his tenacity in bringing innovative insurance solutions to retail agents, he focuses on emerging markets and complex, high-risk accounts. Since joining PLRisk, Michael has been instrumental in launching new P&C product lines and expanding agency distribution networks.

Michael began his insurance career in 2012 as a professional liability agent and has since advanced through roles that broadened his expertise in property & casualty, program development, market entry, and scaling distribution. He has brokered a wide range of coverage lines in both Admitted and E&S markets, including Commercial Property, Casualty, Auto, Excess, Transportation, Parametric, Professional Liability, Management Liability, and Workers’ Compensation.

He earned his CPCU designation in 2016 and RPLU in 2014 and holds both P&C and E&S licenses. Before joining PLRisk in 2020, Michael founded a brokerage that entered a joint venture with Axis Management Group and held VP roles at RPS and MedPro Group. He holds a degree in Political Science with a minor in History from Indiana University, Fort Wayne.
